The Jasna Góra is a Pauline Fathers monastery in the City of Częstochowa, Poland.
It has been a pilgrimage destination for hundreds of years from all over the world, the most
valuable treasure in this monastry is icon of the Virgin Mary, depicting the Mother
of God with the Christ Child, is called Black Madonna of
Częstochowa or Our Lady of Częstochowa, which is widely venerated
and credited with many miracles. The miracle of the icon was proven
by the fact that monks and Polish soldiers successfully withheld the Swedish 40
day siege in the 17th century. That is why Jasna Góra has become very important and religious symbol in Poland.
This hotel was definitely middle of the road for us. The staff was pleasant and the food was decent. There wasn't much to do aside from the hotel however. The countryside was beautiful however and we made the most of our time here as well.
