Wilanow. Warsaw's wartime history is commemorated by the Monument to the Heroes
of the Ghetto and the Second World War Memorial Museum. The capital's most
beautiful edifice is the Lazienki (Łazienki). Palace, a Neo-Classical lakeside
extravaganza now housing a branch of the National Museum and frequently graced
by outdoor piano concerts at the foot of the statue of Chopin.
