Airports are situated in most of the largest cities in
Poland. They are serviced by many international airline companies. Around 50
cities in more than 30 countries maintain direct flight connections with the
capital of Poland.
Okecie Airport in Warsaw is a stop-over for around 25
airlines, among them British Airways, SAS, Air France and Lufthansa. Poland
also has direct intercontinental flight connections with the USA, Canada,
Israel and Thailand. Both international and domestic flights are available from
airlines amongst them LOT Polish Airlines. Many low budget airlines fly into
Poland; Centralwings,
Skyeurope, Norwegian, EasyJet, Wizzair, Germanwings, Air Berlin, Austrian,
Ryanair, HLX, and Sterling.
Airports in Gdańsk, Katowice, Szczecin, Poznań, Wrocław and KraKow have
international connections. There are also many airports in Poland which operate

Krakow has
an international airport called Krakow Balice-John Paul II International
Airport. There are good direct flights using major carriers such as Alitalia,
Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Centralwings,
CSA, easyJet, EL-AL Israel Airlines, Eurolot, Finnair, Germanwings, Jet2.com, LOT Polish
Airlines, Lufthansa, Meridiana, Norwegian,
Ryanair, SkyEurope, Sterling.dk, Transavia and Volareweb
Balice
airport is situated about 11 km from Krakow. The easiest way to get to the city
centre form Krakow Balice Airport is by ordered car tranfer. You can also pick
a taxi form the airport. It costs 70-130 zl depending on the exact address and
time of the day (taxi rates are higher during evenings, Sundays and holidays).
The airport
can be reached from the Krakow main Railway station by train. The jurney last
about 15 minutes and cost not more than 6 zloty
You can also
take a municipal transit bus or regular rail services to Krakow city centre.
Buses number 192 and 208 goes from the airport to the old town and to the train
station. It takes approximately 35 min. It costs 3.0zl.
There is a
2nd option flying to Katowice International Airport(Pyrzowice) but it is
located 100kms away from Krakow. You can book with myguidePolska the transfer
bus together with your flight from Katowice airport to Krakow city, which takes
approximately 75minutes.
Both
airports have many flights serviced by low priced budget airlines from UK and
